Dear Sir/Madam,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Hossein Khosropour, and I am an Iranian citizen currently residing in Brescia, Italy. I am planning to apply for a single-entry tourist visa to Thailand for approximately 20 days. I am currently employed as a researcher at the University of Brescia (UniBS), under a formal work contract. I also have a valid rental contract for my residence in Brescia. At the moment, I have submitted my first application for the Italian Permesso di Soggiorno and currently hold the official postal receipt (Ricevuta Postale) issued by Poste Italiane. The permit is in process, and I do not yet possess the physical card.
I would like to kindly ask whether the Consulate accepts the Ricevuta Postale as valid proof of legal stay in Italy for the purpose of applying for a tourist visa.
Here is a summary of my status:
- Nationality: Iranian
- Current city of residence: Brescia, Italy
- Employment: Researcher at the University of Brescia with an active contract (End time: 30/02/2026)
- Residence: Valid rental contract in Brescia
- Permit status: First-time applicant with a valid Ricevuta Postale
- Previous Thai-visa: holder of Thai Non-ED visa
- Travel purpose: Short visit (20 days) as a tourist
I would greatly appreciate your confirmation on this matter before submitting my application. Thank you very much for your time and support. I look forward to your kind reply.
Best regards,
Hossein Khosropour
