Good day,
Soon, I will apply for a 90-day Non-Immigrant O Visa to pursue long-term retirement in Thailand.
I need to be clear on the required documentation before I submit my application.
Do I need to obtain a basic UK Disclosure and Barring Service certificate to demonstrate that I don’t have a criminal record?
Do I need a doctor's medical certificate of any kind proving I'm in good health?
I understand that I need medical insurance that includes cover for COVID-19 and both inpatient and outpatient cover to the value of $100k. Specifically, does this mean a suitable travel insurance policy, or do I need a medical insurance policy, distinct from any travel insurance? Presumably, the policy should cover the full 90 days.
Does the first day of the 90 commence upon arrival in Thailand?
I depart on 2nd October 2025 on a one-way ticket with no intention of returning. I will apply for a 12-month extension based on retirement once in Thailand. Will the absence of an outbound ticket become a problem on arrival?
Thank you.
